Monday – socialisation…tick

Lots of socialising today, with 8 children and 2 babies for lunch, and we even let their mums stay too 😉 They were very busy people, playing board games, dressing up, eating (they seem to do this a lot?!), then they remembered the outside existed, so they were all out in the garden, trampolining, swinging (though this took great diplomacy skills with turn taking required!), sliding and pottling in cars. I gave them the challenge of digging out all the clothes pegs which have somehow managed to embed themselves into the lawn over the winter (how??) , and gave them a bucket of water to clean them in! E has been desperate to dig our garden over to hunt for dinosaur bones…I think we are going to have to create an area for this purpose, or we are going to end up with hundreds of excavation sites!!
